"The city is bustling with happiness and the country flourishing with wealth. It is all thanks to me, the Crown Prince." he declared with utmost glee and confidence as he looked at the faces of those of his guards, who didn't believe in a word that he said.
"I am Prince Dertye , the crown Prince of Svelqia." he told them numerous times as if to muster give himself courage and confidence while simultaneously showing his subordinates his authority.
"You don't believe that I am crown Prince? Well thank god! If everyone thought I was the Prince then what would happen to the 'real me'?" he told himself everytime that someone felt that he wasn't like the crown prince at all. He never lied, maybe except for now, when he is trying to convince the entire nation to believe him to be their Prince until the real one was found.
He knew he couldn't be selfish, after all he was the one responsible for the crown prince's disappearance.
Everything was going smoothly as he stated passing days in court without a hitch. But when someone who knows the real crown prince appears, he is at a risk of getting exposed. If he was found out to be a mere stand in, then everything he tried to protect would be destroyed as he would be put to death. How he wished he could find the missing crown prince before things became irreversible.

I really want to say that I cried because of how he humiliated me in front of the king. But no, I knew the truth.
