"Alice, please," the voice begs.
"Alice, I need you," it says again.
She walks further into the woods, stepping past fallen down trees and branches. The cold ground below her prevents the leaves from crankling beneath her feet as she walks. The small slice of the moon does not direct her as she continues.
"You are so close, my love."
She follows the voice through the endless woods.
"Alice, please, I need you."
She listens to his voice, calling out to her, giving her a path to follow in this dark night.
There are no animals in sight, all hiding away from what is about to happen, scared to be in sight of what she is about to awaken.
__

Alice has always had these dreams, and well, shes said to be a bit crazy too. Though they are not dreams and she is not crazy. There's an explanation, there always is. They are stronger, more meaningful than just dreams. But to Alice, they are a nuisance, a disturbance in her life, a curse, an endless trail of bad luck, that attacks her when she least expects. She blacks out and is teleported to a life she does not know exist. She sees people and hears conversations that make no sense to her, and she thinks that she's going crazy because of them. What happens when the voice in her dreams calls out to her and draws her deep into the woods? And what happens when the guy in her dream sits 5 desks away from her in first period English class? What happens when history starts to repeat its self?

And please dear reader, always remember...not everything is as simple as it seems.

There are worse things than death. ___ "What is wrong with you?" I seethed. She had my back against the wall, pinning me down so I couldn't move. She was much stronger than me, even when I used my strength to get out of her embrace. I held her gaze and I knew that she was gone. There wasn't an ounce of goodness left in her body. She laughed at my question. Of course, I knew what was wrong with her. But I have to find a way to get her back. "What is wrong with me? Ha, nothing sweetheart." she told me with a smile on her face. "I'm just having a little fun." "Yeah, and fun for you is killing innocents," I growled. "Oh, I hate to say this to you but they aren't all innocent." I finally broke free of her and I dropped her to the floor. I held her down with both arms while I was on top of her. All she did was give me a smile. An eerie smile that made a shiver run down my spine. "I should kill you for what you've done," I whispered. "I should make you pay." "Oh, but Sebastian, you won't," she said. "You know why? Because at the end of the day I'm still me, and you will never hurt me, will you?" I hated that she was right. I couldn't kill her. My mind told me that it would be the best to do it but my heart told me otherwise. I mentally cursed at myself for letting this happen to her. "Elora, I know you're still in there." I said. She was still on the ground, but she was not resisting which seemed odd. "She died a long time ago," she said finally. "Alongside her love for you." ___ Book Two in the "From Death to Life" Trilogy #13 in Bloodlust

She perched there waiting. Waiting for the opportunity to settle the score between her and her previous owner as she was his property but in order to be even she had to make sure that she ripped him from limb to limb. Out of her peripheral vision she realized that a bird was perching with her as if comforting her. But she did not need comfort she needed to be vindicated. Camea screeched at the bird. The feathers blew off of it as it tumbled 50 stories below. But the thing was dead before it began its descent. A tear of blood trailed down Camea’s face. In the months following Mila’s death Camea came to realize that bondage was in the mind as well as in the flesh. As she wiped her mouth of the blood from her last meal she smiled thinking to herself how much she is going to enjoy dealing with Austen. The monster within Camea allowed three drops of gold to fall the distance to the ground. She was less than human but more than a clone. I always wondered what it would be like to be human. It is like needing air but being in a room filled with carbon. It is the worse feeling in the world. That is the only thing that I was able to retain from my previous self was my feelings. My Last Breath (Book one of The Portal Series) by Chinesechickens123
63 parts Complete Mature
BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.

"You had a head injury and passed out. I cleaned you up and put you in here to rest." His voice is now calm, much different to what I heard from the other room. "You said you cleaned me up. Did you also change my clothes?" I recall his words and am almost too shocked to ask about his invasion of my privacy. A devilish smile crosses his lips as he coyly looks at his feet. He is enjoying my embarrassment. "You're clothes had blood on them and I wasn't about to put you in a clean bed with dirty clothes on. Trust me; you have nothing I haven't seen before." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vampires are real and after an eternity of hiding, they have chosen to let the world know of their existence. But when they emerged from the shadows, they were met with hostility and discernment. It wasn't long until they were segregated from humans and forced to live in Vampire Only areas while the rest of the world went on with their lives. Fed up with this malicious arrangement, the vampires waged a war on mankind and came out the victors. Mankind were forced to retreat behind concrete walls designed to keep vampires at bay and this is where they stayed for decades. Evie is a human that has just fallen victim to a trap set by vampires so that she can be used as a source of food or even a plaything for a high bidding vampire. But to her bewilderment, she is taken to Alex. A dangerous and high ranking vampire that enjoys toying with his victims. Knowing how precarious this vampire is, Evie still can't shake the feeling that his striking blue eyes are reminiscent of something but what. But what lengths will she go to find out more about him and every other vampire? I guess it's true what they say. Opposites really do attract.

My dream continued the one I'd been having for the past couple of nights. I ran, gasping for breath, through the familiar woods from a dark figure behind me. The faster I tried to run, the slower I seemed to go, until it was like I was running in place. I knew I needed to run. I was terrified of what the figure would do when he caught me. "Mara Leigh," a deep, smooth voice called. It was almost hypnotic. That was new. The figure had never spoke before now. I ran as fast as I could go, eyes searching the forest floor for a big stick or something that I could use to defend myself. "Mara Leigh!" the voice came again, this time more insistent. The forest slowly started to fade and I started to awake to someone shaking my shoulders. "Beau?" I mumbled, turning my head to the side. What's Beau doing in my room this time of night? Why is he shaking me? "Do not call me that name." My eyes flew open as I jumped at the voice from my dream. A face was right in front of mine, and just like the voice, it wasn't Beau. Before I could form a scream, a hand covered my mouth. I tried to bite it but I couldn't get my mouth to open. He's too strong. I started to use my whole body to try to get away, but he crawled on top of me, holding me down. I pulled the hidden knife out from under my pillow and slashed as hard as I could at him, but he just grabbed my wrist and squeezed it until the pain made me drop the knife. Then he grabbed both my hands in one of his and held them over my head. He held me down while I struggled. I grunted and moved and tried to kick and scream, but I only wore myself out. Exhausted, I stopped thrashing and let the tears flow freely down my cheeks. I didn't know what to do, so I just tried to prepare myself for whatever was coming.
