A "novelization" of my screenplay I did for school a few years ago called Heroes Within. It's part of my "Fade to Black: Talion" universe, but can be read as a standalone story.  It focuses on Kizu, a spirited female child and victim of the War. After being saved by enigmatic mercenary Blackfire, she learns more about her place in the world and herself.

I've never written a full story before, so I really wanted to give it a shot. I honestly read it like a Light Novel.
