In an alternate universe where everyone has a soulmate, boys and girls all over the world anticipate the day they turn sixteen. At midnight on the day they turn sixteen, words appear on the teenager's dominant wrist. The words are no joke. They're the first words spoken by their soulmate. Some people find it quite easy to find their soulmate. Others... not so much. Diana June hates the idea of soulmates. She wants to be loved, of course, but she doesn't want to disappoint whoever she's meant to be with. It's all she can think about. So when the special day arrives, Diana isn't amused, to say the least. It's not like she can ignore the words, when she speaks with her hands.

In this world there are two names on everyone's wrist; the person's enemy and their soulmate. Each person has no distinction between the two of the names, for that is something they must find out for themselves. But once they find their soulmate, the names disappear, so they will no longer have the name of their enemies marked upon them and they can live in eternal happiness. But sometimes, the names can get confused. After all, who says you can't meet your enemy first? [NOTE: We wrote this like two years ago I promise we've improved don't judge] (This was written with @im-gay-so-yay).
