For many years rumors have persisted that there are caches of gold, precious stones, and unguents that tomb robbers had dropped or hidden in their haste to escape the guards that watched over the Valley of the Kings. Roma Wilkes-Emberly thinks her father believes these rumors are true and is determined to find them.

Ardeth-Bey is the son of a sheikh of a Bedouin tribe who are descended from the Med-Jai who guarded the Valley of the Kings. He is friends with Wilkes-Emberly and his daughter Roma. Roma does not like Ardeth Bey, though she grew up with him, she finds him overconfident and arrogant. The fact that he is handsome only makes it worse.

Wilkes-Emberly has asked Ardeth for his help. He wishes him to accompany his daughter through the desert on a secret errand. Neither Ardeth nor Roma is eager to do this, but her father is both evasive and persistent. Ardeth agrees, but on the condition that they will catch the boat at Minya for the remainder of the journey to Cairo.

Roma knows that something is wrong and she suspects that they will be transporting something valuable and will be a target for thieves--or worse.

I am proud to announce that based on my writing of this story I have received a commission from an internet jewelry site to write an Egyptian/Atlantis-themed story about Howard Carter and his discovery of the "Atlantis Ring". And I am being paid well for it--eat your hearts out!!!!

Pressure builds during the day but is relinquished in passion-filled nights in her husband's bed... Or could it be more? Rashiq Zafar, Crown Prince of Arandia needs a wife and he needs it quick. When he sees Annabelle Walker, she fit his requirements perfectly. She needs money and he had money. All he needs her is for a year and they would walk away unaffected. But the last thing he expected was new emotions to follow his decision to get married... _____________________________________________________________ Okay, I've been getting a lot of offensive comments on his religion and race and bla bla bla. I just want to let you know that where I come from, I do know the basic customs and I think some of you are being too offensive for a fictional story. This story has absolutely no relations to religion. At all. All I did was select a certain nationality for my main lead. Plus, its a fictional country! I have done my research and I do not appreciate people saying my characters are going to hell and stuff. So, I've changed the name a bit and removed the "bin". Once again, I'll say this, this story has some sexual content so if you are sensitive to it either due to morality or religious reasons, please do not read any further. Thank you. PS: The rest of you, do enjoy!

You can't stop him. You can't stop the repair boy. Meanwhile, other problems arise for the rest of the seven. Frank, Reyna and Hazel must make it back to Camp Jupiter alive in one piece. Simple enough? Wrong. It's completely on foot with monsters flooding the streets. Also, old memories begin to haunt the team, that may change them forever. The rest of the seven, joined by the Hephaestus cabin, must figure out a way to locate Leo, and get him back to camp safely. However, one factor stands in their way, The curse of cabin 9. *book trailer inside* *do not read unless you have finished the blood of Olympus. (Duh.)* *All rights go to Rick Riordan* PG RATING DISCLAIMER: some people have told me that these events in the book resemble some scenes in "Trails of Apollo." Anything that seems to resemble Trails of Apollo is purely a coincidence. I have not read Trails of Apollo and I will not read it until I have finished this book. This book began long before the Trails of Apollo was published.

Get out your popcorn, tourists beware, here comes a paranormal adventure with a historical twist, set in Egypt--and Britain. From Chapter 29 'Darkness': 'Did I just try to dive into that goo to get at a dead guy?' Trueth asked. Define dead,' Metjen said with a half-smile. He muttered something and touched Trueth on the forehead. The rest of her giddiness faded away--only to return as Metjen crushed her in one of his bearhugs. 'For a moment I thought we would lose you. Don't do that again.' Trueth's cheeks burned. That could only be the caffeine. The stuff had never agreed with her. 'It wasn't my idea, there was a voice in my head!' *** Trueth hates being the last paranormal creature left on Earth. She needn't worry: On a trip to Egypt she runs into Metjen Al-Nour, magical member in the last temple of the sun god Ra. With sparks flying between them--not only those of the magical variety--they solve a 5000-year-old riddle where clues are literally buried in tombs, historical sites--as well as in the family safe. But their journey is far from over - where other stories end, this one really takes off... . The second novel in the trilogy, 'Cursed Times - Only Yesterday!', is completed, and 'In My Attic' - a spin-off to the world of Cursed Times is available with weekly updates. === Copyright information, given the recent acts of content piracy: All copyrights of the texts are mine exclusively. The Mummy (Imhotep x (OC)/Reader) by EdenStiefvader
10 parts Complete Mature
This is going to be based 1990's 'The Mummy'. However, since I love Egypt and the movie so much I was going to try to make my own X reader type book. I always had the tendency to feel bad for the villains, but I don't think Imhotep was really a bad guy. It's just he had a lot of hatred and vengeance for those who cursed him for loving someone after she killed herself. So due to this I'm going to change the story just a tad, and have a more happy ending. I am also naming her after Seti the first real daughter named Tia. I do not own any of the characters besides my Oc Akila/Tia. Akila Carnahan, is the half-sister of Evelyn and Jonathan. Her brother and sister are half Egyptian while Akila was fully Egyptian. She worked with her sister at the Museum of Antiquities in Cario, Egypt. After she and her siblings found the key and the map to Hamunaptra they went to see a man named Rick O'Connell. They all travel to Hamunaptra, not knowing Americans were going as well to the city of the dead. The night they were heading to Hamunaptra on the boat she got constant visions more than she usually did about her past life. How much will she learn of her old life while in Hamunaptra? What will happen when her sister Evelyn accidentally revives Imhotep from the dead with the book? Will she remember her love with the High Priest? Will she help send him back to his holy resting place or will she be the one to keep balance between them all?
