I was told by my fellow sisters of my pod that when encountered by a human male we are supposed to enchant them with our alluring magical voices and tempting bodies to their watery graves.

If not, our existence would be in jeopardy amongst the humans...

So what if what they say isn't necessarily true? What if humans aren't so bad like they say they are? What would happen if I let a human man live when I was supposed to kill him? Will I end up dead just because I was curious? Is it wrong to go against my pods ideal beliefs and bond with humans?
