Maribella Sky Johnson is the typical teenager; or so she says. If typical is being the 'Queen Bee' of North Wetchester High - a girls only boarding school. She has rich parents, plently of friends, gorgoeous long brown hair, every girls definition of 'perfect.' But when she has a unexpected trip to the Emergency Room, everything goes down the drain.

Lung Cancer.

After having to drop out of one of the best schools in the state of North Carolina, and loosing her popularity along with her best friends, she thinks her life is over; until she meets Luke Hemmings. Another cancer infected patient in the ward, at first she's hesitant, because of how he adresses everyone, by 'prick' or 'asswipe', and how he is too cocky and desides to pick on Sky almost every time he lays eyes on her.

But later on, Sky is deveoping feelings for Luke, but he has secrets, a past he won't tell her after she's told him basically everything. But Luke sees it a different way.
