"My eyes flashed open and I jolted upright. Where was I? Around me I could see trees and rocks but I didn't recognise any of it. I got up, slowly, taking in my surroundings. I was alone in what appeared to be the middle of a forest.
Suddenly I heard movement, a slight rustling sound coming from behind me. Cautiously, I turned around, and my eyes fell upon a the figure of a person. From this far, I couldn't make out who it was but I could see two things. One was that this person, whoever they were, was facing away from me. The second was that this person looked familiar, although I had no recollection of ever meeting them.
And then I woke up."
(A/N) This is the same as the introduction so you can skip it and get straight to the story on chapter 1 ;)
Also technically this can be called a fan-fiction but you don't need to be part of the Walkers to understand this story at all, I just based the names off of the community 😂

Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street.
