Thirty years in the future a war is thriving, people are dying and amongst the suffering is seventeen year old orphan, Alison, preferably Al. She's angry and troubled, showing a harsh demeanor to anyone she comes across, that is until she finds a mysterious seven year old girl, who's bruised and hurt, separated from her family, if she had any to begin with. Alison, seeing herself in the girl, takes her under her wing and decides to take it upon herself to raise her.
But they can't stay there. It's not safe. And soon they will have to begin their journey, encountering challenges on the way.
