The lands of Aeryton harbor kingdoms and factions of many different backgrounds; the world is full of alliances and conflicts between various groups. After nearly a decade of peace, tensions suddenly start to rise between two major powers primarily from an unsolved mystery surrounding the mass raiding of villages, and people start to take sides.
It seems that an old war's spark has been given fuel to regrow, unless something even more sinister is in store for Aeryton.
This story follows multiple protagonists as they struggle to adapt to the changing world, prove their dignity and honor, inherit family endowment, take on new responsibilities, persevere through battles, and live their lives.
This story is an original work inspired by a few different pop culture materials.
This is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS, and some aspects could be subject to change.

Mortance: A Miscarriage of Hope
Twelve-hundred years ago, the first king of Sacreon led a rebellion against an empire of witches. The war for who would rule next continues to this day. A false guise of peace came over Ert after two genocides, but there is no one so foolish as to claim the fighting is done. A prophecy claims that war will return to Ert when the moons are full once again on Ascenday. That day is growing closer now, and there is not a fool in the warring nations who does not dread its coming. In the midst of this all, the heirs to Sacreon struggle to find their place in this world of kings and knights and gods and elves and witches. A princess falls for someone she cannot hope to have, prince travels south to broker an alliance, a warrior seeks vengeance for the death of her sister. and the heir to a long forgotten kingdom quests for glory. Behind all of this, one man journeys north to an island of long forgotten magic with plans of justice, and The Wolf Witch goes west, searching for the one who can stop this war and unite Ert once again: The Silver Girl. Note: The Wolf Witch is meant to be a prequel to this book, and Sora will make an appearance, but she will not be a main character. By the way I take huge inspiration and influence from A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones so if you like that you'll probably like this (and my other writings I hope). I do not own The Hobbit or LOTR. The Hobbit is what I based this story off of. A Thorin Oakenshield x OC you might really enjoy like I do, and I wrote the story! I decided this description needed a rewrite: Fiery, stubborn, prideful, daring. I am all of those names, always have been. I never back down from a challenge, never turn away from my choice. I am determined to find my home. And, one day, I know I will. I just never thought a handsome, stubborn, irritating, stoic, and annoying dwarf king would step in my way and tip me off that path I was determined to stay on.
