Sixteen year-old Genevieve Erinne Layne has had the pleasure of living a foolproof normal life. From her extremely overprotective dad to her lifeless mom, how hard was it to mess up?

Apparently, not much.

What she considered normal ended up being a complete lie. Fate, along with many, many other "minor" issues, ended up twisting her life with gangs, guns, and all things violent.

I turned around and was met with a familiar face. "Yeah?"

"When we go out, it'll be a battlefield. Not everyone will make it out alive. So just... be careful, okay?" Ben rubbed his neck and I smiled.

"Of course, Ben." 

Jules managed to open the barrier and everyone began to enter the south side, for better or worse.
