Takane was limping. She wasn't used to walking since there wasn't a need to in the cyber world. She made her way to the hideout. The door had a number on it, "107" 

Not paying it any mind, she pushed the door open. What greeted her was-

Nanami was running back to his apartment as fast as his legs could carry. He knew that address as soon as he heard about the distress call. It was his home after all. His wife didn't know he was a jujutsu sorcerer and he didn't want her to know either, but in that moment, he didn't care. As soon as he saw the curse hovering over her in his kitchen, his mind was engulfed with rage. Her wound was deep and she looked terrified. She'd never seen a curse that could talk. "Where is he?" The distorted voice asked her once again, "call him." It pointed at the phone in her hand. "No." She clutched her phone against her chest and her voice trembled, "he's not here... please". "Imagine how sad he'd be... if he found you dead instead." The curse laughed. "I... I don't think he'd... care." She said her last prayers as she woefully wept. It took all her strength to digest the fact the he'd never love her, "but I won't call him here." She'd made up her mind. He'd be free if she died right there. Nanami's eyes widened when he heard that. He felt his heart clench at the sight before his eyes. That Grade-B curse was like a laugh in his face. She was his wife-his responsibility. How could she think so little of him? A/N: none of the characters except for the OCs are mine. All due credits to the original creators-even the artwork.
