Demons.
Bloodthirsty, savage killers. They don't care about anyone other than themself and will stop at nothing to get the job done. They claim to be Gods. Mobians nicknamed these demons "EXE." Their master is unknown. They come out of nowhere, mainly at night, and kill.
Heroes.
Heroic, brave Mobians who come out of the shadows to stop the demons. They're the ones celebrated, they're the ones loved. They care about others. There is a lot of heroes in the world, just as much as demons. They also come out of nowhere, mainly at night as well, and save lives.
What if a hero and a demon fell in love?
Knuckles the Echidna is a hero. Somewhat gullible but short-tempered, this echidna isn't someone you want to mess with. In terms of muscle, he's the strongest hero around, but when it comes to smarts and speed, he's the weakest. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Sonic the Hedgehog is a demon. Somewhat snarky but kindhearted, this hedgehog is a bit cowardly when it comes to fights. He was never about fighting and violence like other demons, he just wants freedom and peace. Bullied for his secret morals, he sneaks out for the night.
