Noah Baker is 19 year old girl & college student. She's just trying to get through her last years of college with her best friend, Jasmin.
Noah has been against the whole concept of "love" ever since her father walked out on her mother when she was just 5 years old.

Jaxon Miller is a 21 year old. He's just trying to make money to be able to get through life. What happens when he meets a beautiful girl at his job?

What will happen when Noah and Jax cross paths.

*********
Sneak peek:

"Here's your cof-" A deep voice said behind me. Before I could turn around to see the person, Jasmín gave him the money for our drinks.

"Thank you" Jasmín said as she snatched the drinks from the persons hands. She then handed me my drink while she dragged me out by my only free arm.

As Jasmín dragged me towards the exit of the coffee shop, I glanced down at my latte.

"YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" was written in place of my name. I glanced back at where we got our drinks and that's when our eyes met.

[Slow Brew Series 1 of 2] [Completed] Look, I didn't mean to embarrass myself the first time I walked into Brewing Grounds. Or the second. Or...every other time since. But something about the place-and the barista with the messy ponytail and the glasses that she pushes up her nose-makes me forget how to form actual sentences. Bea. Her name's Bea. She spelled mine wrong on my cup the first day (Ell-yot Hayul), and now I'm kind of obsessed. Not with her. With medium lattes. With her handwriting. With the little hearts she scribbles on my cups. Okay... maybe a little bit with her. The point is: I'm a walking disaster around her, and I'm pretty sure she knows it. And okay, maybe I started showing up every morning at exactly 7:30 just to see her. And maybe I've been reading up on how to flirt because I thought that might help (it hasn't). But honestly, what's the worst that could happen? I embarrass myself again? (Already done that.) Spill coffee on my tie? (Happened last week.) Accidentally fall in love with the barista who writes flirty notes on my coffee cups? Oh, wait... (Lowercase intended on cover) "The simple things in life are never meaningful, and the meaningful things in life are never simple. So maybe I don't want meaningful. Maybe I just want someone who cares enough to listen." Gemma Summers and Noah Hanson are strangers. They have little in common, not to mention polar opposite personalities, yet lead extremely similar lives in the sense that they both feel they are missing something. In a small, vintage style coffee shop the two meet, finding solace in their queer, complication free conversations. They don't want to be friends, they don't want to be lovers, they don't want anything more than to talk over two cups of coffee. But keeping up the ideal simplistic relationship proves harder than it seems as unwanted feelings of attachment and connection arise, leaving them both wondering if maybe simplicity isn't what they are searching for, and if they are searching for something that has already been found. Completed-- ABOUT TO UNDERGO SOME EDITING AND REVAMPING especially for chapters 41 to 48 and 53. Bare with me here, as the writing process is torturous (and lovely, of course.) Expect a shitton of updates in the next few months. Warning: Mature language within (it's swearing, they're twenty, no surprise there) These chapters rarely exceed five hundred words, which is why there are so many of them. I hope you enjoy! (Please do not copy my work. I appreciate that you like my idea enough to steal it, but there are better ways to show this appreciation. So please, don't. I've worked hard on this.)

Sierra Lancaster has had an agonizingly mediocre life. She grew up in a happy home, made loyal friends, graduated college, and is now pursuing her dream of running her own bakery. Boring, right? A story like this wouldn't be one for the books. At least not until you bring a hot neighbour into the mix. A tall, brooding, shredded (like, wash your clothes on those abs shredded), and wildly successful sports agent. Interested yet? It gets better. Said neighbour isn't just a rando, but Sierra's childhood nemesis that made her formerly chubby days a living hell. Now we're talking, aren't we? Holden Rey has always been the golden boy. Holden...golden...you following? You'd think the bitchy universe would do its job and throw some karma his way but to no avail. Not only has he got it all, but he knows it too. He also still has it out for Sierra and resumes being a jack-ass of epic proportions (and his ass ain't his only epic proportion) as soon as he realizes who the new girl next door is. It's the same old story with these two except this time, there's unwilling attraction and sexual tension underneath all the hate. Is it just lust or does the bitchy universe actually have a plan? So maybe this story is one for the books after all. *A hilarious, enemies-to-lovers, romantic standalone. Rated 18+ due to mature content. All rights reserved to TheFeveredBookaholic.*
