A short story that was originally written by Lena Ollmark, then translated from Swedish to English by me - your favorite author, Maja. ;)
In eighth grade (I was fourteen years old), we had this assignment in Swedish class to finish this story however we wanted, and I just wanted to share my take on this with you.
A bit morbid, so maybe not for the weak of heart.

What these towering trees have seen and witnessed beneath their bowing canopies. Suddenly marrying that hairy pig of a man seemed less disgusting. She wondered if turning back would be too late. Would her father kill her upon her arrival or would something else take her life and send her head back on a spike?
