Wildflower: A free spirit. Uncultivated by the mainstream. Independent thinker. Bravely growing wild and free in a world plagued by conformity.

♧

Meet Blythe. A bubbly girl with a wild heart and a dark past. She loves nature, reading books, watching the clouds and talking. Bright and happy colors, flowers, sun, daytime.

Meet Noah. A reserved boy with a closed heart and dark secrets. He loves music, writing, photography and watching the moon and the stars. Grim colors, rivers, moon, nighttime.

The two total opposites meet one summer and quickly they befriend each other. They spend their entire summer together - getting to know each other, laughing, exploring. Slowly they realize, they are more alike than what seemed like when they met. They found their escape that summer along with a reason to keep going.

He loosens his grip from my waist and I begin to slip under. My faces scrunches up in discomfort, and he grabs a hold of me. He pulls me closer to him, our faces inches apart. "So you can't swim." He says, grinning. "No. I can't." I say. My eyes wander down towards his chest. I just now notice that he isn't wearing a shirt. I refocus my eyes back to his face, my cheeks getting hot. "We live in California. How do you not know how to swim? There are beaches everywhere." ___________________________________________ It was the last summer before college. For Rae, this meant making memories with her best friends and vacationing till she forgot the last four miserable years of high school. After taking school too seriously and planning all the right steps for college, Rae takes advantage of the time off. For Grayson, this last summer meant deciding if he really wants to spend the next four years being a star-athlete swimmer in college to please his overbearing father, or pursue his true passion of wildlife and spend the next year traveling the world. He takes a vacation with his friends to get away from it all, hoping he will get lay back and relax. When a boat ride and a crazy storm leave the two stranded on a deserted island, everything takes a turn for the worst. Rae and Grayson must adapt to the island around them and depend on each other for survival. Rae and Grayson always knew of each other, being friends of each other's friends, but never about each other. With Rae's panic and paranoia and Grayson's laid back outlook they might seem like an unlikely pairing, but the blazing sun and time away from the outside world just may bring them closer together. The Star The Sunflower Faced

15 parts Complete Mature

Asther lost home, and nothing could return it back. It was like a boulder carelessly wrecking a house. And the remainder was its ruins, the memories. Or a child who innocently plucked the remaining red rose out of the sea of wilting ones. Either way, either metaphor. Her mother slipped out of her young hands. And nothing could and would bring her back. As she continues to stir into her coffee cup of misery, nostalgia and bitter hopelessness. Their serendipity leered like the eloquent moon above them. When Asther was annoyed with sleepless nights, she thought that she could find comfort solo. In the middle of a tired sunflower field. But when she thought loneliness was the cure to a heart lethargic from homesickness, she immediately found the best medicine in Gray. A boy who couldn't lull himself as well. And a young puppy-like teen who treated her like she was the best owner he's ever had. And immediately, Asther felt as if a new roof was sprawled above their sleepy but love-aired heads. How, you ask? Well, Asther also couldn't pluck it from her scalp. But all she knew, is that what she found instead of what she was trying to achieve was the thing she should have been looking for all along. copyright © 2019 by lovveIy
