Placed in 2042, humans are installed with data known as Beatless- an artificial intelligence in the form of electromagnetic chip or artificial organs- that shapes the human mind to close perfection and masters them to a degree- that means everyone will be good at everything and life decisions are made by the computer system, leading them to better life choices.

Humans that didn't install Beatless are less socially acceptable, and the main protagonist Caroline is none other who believes to be a human being. Stubborn and wanted to keep her humanity, Caroline proves to her surroundings that she can live without Beatless, but all road doesn't go well without a struggle.

Why is Beatless created and what is the difference being a Beatless and a human? Does it disrupts one's humanity? The answers will be unveiled when Caroline meets a boy who turns out to be a Beatless with a genuine human brain.
