Josie McCall and Timothy Matthews were in love. Until, they weren't.

It's been two years since their breakup, and Tim is a dedicated university student. He's been buried in books and homework since that dreaded day, and he's had little time to focus on his romantic life. With graduation just around the corner, he's worried about his future and what it will hold - or possibly, who.

Josie is a diehard romantic. Her whole life she's pined for "The One". The one who will make everything okay, the one who can take her flaws and find the beauty in them. And now that she's engaged to Nathan, she's found it - or so, she tells herself.

One day, Tim and Josie find themselves reconnecting, and as much as they don't want them to, old feelings resurface.

Told from different times of their lives together, Tim and Josie's journey in and out of love is left with one question:

When it feels like first love stays with you forever, was their breakup a mistake?

Calliope's ex-boyfriend, her high school sweetheart, crash-landed back into her life like a rom-com sequel she never ordered, ready to rewrite the script of her existence once again. *** "You never forget your first love." Calliope Bennett absolutely hates the old cliché because she would love nothing more than to forget about her first love breaking her heart and shattering her world. Chase Harrison, her high school sweetheart, once vowed a lifetime of bliss and eternal love. However, those promises shattered when Chase and his family vanished from the sleepy town, leaving behind a void of unanswered questions. Even Chase's closest friends were clueless, for they had deemed them the "couple most likely to have the cutest babies," with no inkling of what tore them apart. With her dad as the MVP of support and her ride-or-die besties in her corner, she hit the reset button on life, leaving Chase's broken promises in the bin of forgotten memories. Cal reluctantly agrees to the attend her high school class reunion under the impression Chase wouldn't return for such a trivial event. But the moment she catches a pair of familiar blue eyes on her, the memories and feelings she tucked away immediately flood her mind. As Chase begs for her forgiveness and time to explain, Calliope desperately tries to ignore the way her heart and her body still ache for him. The more time they spend together, trying to mend the pain, the walls around her heart begin to crumble. While her mind reminds her of the hurt and suffering he caused, Cal wonders if Chase is not only her first love but also her only love?
