"Life is not measured by time. It is measured by moments." ― Armin Houman So there are moments. Endless amounts of moments, it seems, yet they aren't endless in the slightest. There's a set amount each of us gets to have and you won't know which ones were the best ones, the worst ones, the most exciting or terrifying ones until you get no more. You'll never know which ones were the best ones until you live all of them, and the only way for the best one to be the last one, is to make all of them count. Most moments in our lives hold people. Our loved ones or strangers, significant others or best friends, they all have their moments. And isn't it utterly breathtaking to look back and realize the people we surrounded ourselves with are the ones that defined our best, most beautiful and precious moments? This is a collection of short stories, completely unrelated to each other other than the fact that all of them have been inspired by Haley Fitzgerald and Kyle Hanagami. I hope you find these stories entertaining, thought-provoking and simply inspiring. With these one-shots, I hope you'll see past the traditional way of shipping or relationships, because my intention is not to make anyone uncomfortable. It's simply to appreciate a friendship, a bond, a connection and undeniable chemistry. To appreciate the joy of finding another soul in this world who might understand you just that tiny bit better than anyone else in the whole entire world. And I'll remind you before you even start reading that all of what I write is fiction. It's pure imagination that has simply stemmed from real people, inspiring the characters but not really defining them, so some of these stories will speak about friendship and some will describe lovers and some will simply be of human nature. So just step outside of the box while you wrap yourself in these stories and let go of what is real. You came here to use your imagination, because after all, that's what reading is.

"It's real, Kyler. Some people don't get their happy endings. Some lovers don't end up together in any life." She paused, her voice softening. "It's just the way the world is." She sighed a breath. "The ending to Romeo and Juliet was something the world would want, right? A sad ending for the rest but a happy one for the lovers." She picked at a loose thread on her sweater. "I don't like stories like that. I don't want a story like that." I found myself reaching out and took us both by surprise when I gripped her hand in mine. "We don't have to be what the world wants us to be, Luna. We can be whoever we want to be." *** Going into his senior year, Kyler knew things were going to change. But never in a thousand years had he imagined them to change the way they did. He had never expected to sneak out late almost every night just to see her. He had never expected to be dancing under the stars, with her clutched in his arms. He had never, ever expected for his heart to pound so furiously every time she was around. And he had certainly never expected the girl next door to change his life forever. But she did. And it all started when Kyler Anderson crossed paths with the gorgeous new girl. *** "We can write our own story, with our own endings." I whispered. "Fuck the world." She smiled a hesitant smile. Then grinned. "Yeah." She whispered back. "Fuck the world."
