A typical missing persons investigation rapidly turns into a chain of unfortunate and life-claiming events as a contagious rabies outbreak begins in a hospital in Edison, New Jersey. Eventually spreading to tens of thousands of people, the infected begins wiping out entire groups of civilians in cities across the East Coast as they begin a deadly purge and outbreak.
Hence, NYPD detective Matthew Davis and his colleagues step in to stop the effects of the epidemic by putting everything at risk - including their lives. Eventually, they uncover the secrets of the organization responsible for the outbreak and its classified Project Salvation, bit by bit.
If they stay alive, that is.
