Lately all that’s leaking out my fingertips
is love poems, and I’m not sure
who they’re about anymore.
I don’t know if there was a face to start with,
but something tells me these feelings roll
like tree rings—
and there’s promise for next season.
But I’m thigh-deep in thick fog
and I don’t think
I want this.
