300 years in the future; and the world has changed. A lot. Mammals are only seen by the rich and powerful and are kept in containment cells. Fish is what poor people eat. The only thing that poor people eat. There are new and powerful cross breeds, used for military might and dominance. How ever, wolves are another matter. They were deemed too dangerous, too powerful for obedience. So they were exterminated. However, there is a rumor that a single pack escaped, and was able to hide in the forest, the only forest left, though anybody that has gone looking has died.
Skylar Stone swears that when she was little, she saw one. She saw the Alpha, but no one will believe her, seeing as she is branded a traitor's daughter. It has been her mission to find the pack and to save the wolves, but at what cost? Her humanity? Her... life?
