Is the image she's painting for everyone to see true? And what happens when life tries to kill and finds new realizations and truth about her own life

Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. High school is the period of your life where you feel older and independent. It's also the time where you're restricted and forced into a slim expectation by standards and norms. High school is the last bit of youth you have before you are let loose into the sticky web of life. Within your last years of schooling, your habits and behaviors are what determine if you are a fly or a spider (at least that's what some people say). Clare Carter and her new group of friends are kicking off the school year in a powerful way as they battle new conflicts and the process of becoming high school students and young adults. Each character has their own unique story and background that will represent how they take each situation that comes up. They must tackle drama that takes place at school and home, as well as survive the activities that Freshman get to experience (homecoming, clubs, heartbreaks/relationships, the stress of doing well in school and figuring out a plan after they graduate). This group of friends are scheduled for a wave of realization if they think they'll stick together throughout all four years of high school. This story is created with my OCs that I have fun drawing. This is not an attempt to be a grand author or writer. I am merely using this opportunity as experience for fleshing out my characters and their personalities and backgrounds.
