To put it simply, I love understated guys, guys who put up an apathetic front to the rest of the world, while underneath lay the most tender hearts on earth. Put them under extreme pressure, however, and let me tell you, they give Emo a new meaning! Everything under the sun becomes their fault. Silly guys.
Niall, I felt, fell into that group perfectly, and if you've ever played through the mage origin, you'll see what I mean.
Otay, last note: the PC, in this case, is a bit different in build from cannon. A short Fem! Cousland, you ask? Yup. Does anyone besides me notice how short both her parents were compared to her? That seem kooky to anyone? In any case, I'm a vertically challenged person myself, and firmly seated in the belief that the tiny will inherit the earth.

The Lost Life of Laraine
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. {Niall's Pov} I sat in my room with my back up against the wall with my hands over my ears. I wanted him to go away. I needed him to get out of my head. You did this... His voice whishpered in my ear. I shook my head and he laughed. You know that your the reason I'm gone. I stood to my feet and reached for the door handle opening the door leaving the room slamming the door shut behind me. I stepped back from it and felt someone's hand rest on my shoulder making me jump. I turned around seeing that it was my dad. "Niall are you alright son?" "H-He's not dead..." I muttered looking back at the door "Niall we've talked about this..." He starts and I cut him off and point at the door. He pulls me into his chest and hugs me rubbing my back. I shook uncontrolably hoping that someone would listen to me. No one ever did.Complete
The Duchesses
Aurora opens her eyes only to feel the agonising pain in her body. That is to be expected when there has been an accident. It's excruciatingly painful. Aurora groans in pain and pulls off the blanket, taking in her surroundings. It is more appropriate for a hospital interior design to look to the mediaeval era. Not shabby, but more on the extravagant side. The nurses' attire, on the other hand, appears odd. Someone said out of nowhere, "Her Grace, please wake up! Call the doctor right away!" Aurora approaches the mirror and looks at the woman with deep red eyes in it. The woman had blonde hair that, while a little messy, flowed perfectly over her shoulder. Her fair complexion lends her an ethereal appearance. Not to mention that her outfits make her look like a noblewoman from a historical series. She pinches herself, only to realise that the blonde woman staring at her is herself. A thought struck her mind, as she utters her first statement in this world, "Fuck me". Medea has finished her work, but she is still unsure how to fix all of the messes. She hasn't been herself in a long time, and it's bothering her. The throne seems so far away, and the weight of the burden grows heavier with each passing day. A letter from the Imperial Palace has arrived, instructing the Duchess to look after the House of Smith's Duchess of Light, Natalie Wilson Smith. Ok so there's something wrong with the story cause it starts with the first chapter so I'm trying to fix it ************************************We were so close, our bodies inches away, my hot breath on hers I was tempted to kiss her but what would she do, push me away, freak out and run away, my mind was combined with different thoughts.
