In this world things are different. Vampires exists. A vampire and human are paired up at birth and the vampire protects their human, no matter the cost. In return the human provides blood, shelter, anything needed by the vampire. One boy is going through incredible danger, unseen by the outside world, and now is the time he needs his protector the most. After years of protection and help, they realize they need each other more than they thought.

But it was important to keep the two species separate, as angel blood was the cure to any vampire becoming human again, keeping in mind that once bitten by a vampire, for an angel it was sudden death. However in this day and age, vampires walked freely amongst the city. After all, they needed humans to feed and in order to do that, they had to blend in. The war between vampires and angels had to be kept secret from human kind, and the species had to stay apart.
