What if Katniss had never been born? On the day of the mine explosion Prim had been sick, forcing her father to take the day off work. With her father surviving the explosion, Prim realized how dangerous his job was and Prim demanded he teach her how to hunt incase he didn't get lucky again. Now Prim has a set of twins as younger siblings, Angelica and Gabe who are nine years old. With a family to help feed and protect, the worst thing that could happen would be for Prim to get picked on her first year eligible. Of course, the worst things always tend to happen. The 136th Hunger Games
When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. What if Peeta and Katniss never teamed up? What if Katniss finds trust in the most unlikely person? When Katniss volunteers for her sister, her only thought is to make it back to Prim. Cato, I'm sorry I left you
Suzie is just a normal girl from district 2 whos family has died because of the cruel Capitol, and all she wants is to do is be with them again. She figures the best way to finally be with her family again is to volunteer for the hunger games. Then someone else could kill her and she wouldn't have to kill herself. Also her father was in the games and she wanted to make him proud. So she comes up with a plan to go around all the districts gathering different types of skills and once she gets back to district 2 she will volunteer. Making her father proud was the thing she loved to do the most. Her father was her idol. But she doesnt have to volunteer. Suzie Timmer thought she would never get chosen at the reaping because she is not apart of any of the districts except district 2. But the Capitol figures out her plan, they figure out what she has been doing, so they purposly pull her name out at the reaping in district 4... She isnt too upset about this but it may make it worse when she comes face to face with some long lost friends... I wrote this about a recurring dream i have(: Hope you Enjoy :DComplete
