"I told you, Calum loves Luke, like, for real, it's crazy," Michael seemed to have lost his jolly mood, "and if you know what's right for you, you will stay away from him."
I acknowledged that as a threat from both Calum and Michael, the latter at least stuck to implicit threats, unlike the former barbarian on my back. Michael will never admit it, but he doesn't have to; I know he likes Luke too, but what I know better is that I like him more.
