This is the third installment of the Love and Basketball series. Please read Freshmen and Sophomore Year first. ___________________________________________ To get a rainbow, you must go through rainstorm, and they've seen a multitude of precipitation through all these years. Completely free from college and doing his own thing, Shai Carter was heading down a smooth road of comfortably-at least, that's what he assumed. With his very own AAU team and the manager of the YMCA, Shai has taken full control of his life, centering his happiness, the community, and of course, his beautiful wife. And with things seemingly dear and content, he didn't expect for his past to make a wrap around and how him off course. Although it took many cloudy days to get under his skin, rainstorms were unavoidable in his life. From birth, her life had been nothing other than rainbows and sunshines. She had her occasional storms and darkened night, but it had completely stopped. But there were still some clouds lingering around through her day. Entering her junior year of college, Dess, had finally found the appropriate time to get her life on track. Partially healed from the passing of her father, her journey to new beginnings had begun, and her sunny days seemed to be constant. Until it wasn't.
