Komaeda's fondness of Hinata-kun was of a close resemblance to his obsession with hope. Until his sleeping mind showed him his true desire. The dream revealed longing for Hinata-kun, yearn for him to finally see him, not as he sees himself, but as Hinata-kun sees him. In the dream, Komaeda was doing something stupid--like usual--teasing Hinata-kun and scaring others away from him with his poor social skills. Komaeda then spots a small yellow flower beside Hinata-kun's cottage. After picking it, he walks to Hinata-kun, holds the flower to him, and smiles. "A kind flower for a kind boy." he said.
