Meet Emerald Underhill, a hobbit that's of no rank in the Shire. Frodo Baggin's maid, to be exact. So what if there was a secret member? How would that effect the whole story as we know it. Answering the Call
This is a series of AU vignettes in which each member of the Fellowship hears the call of the Ring -- and answers it. My take on the big What-If. Varying degrees of angst, drama, action, and perhaps a little more angst. This series won First Place in the MEFA Awards quite a few years ago now. This idea brewed in my brain for a long time before I finally got it out of my head and onto 'paper.'
