It involves tragedy and love- the love of someone who is not her fiancé, Frederick Farring. Strange surprises ensue as she meets an officer on the ship that bears a striking resemblance to a person in her dream, and she finds herself pulling further and further away from her upper crust husband-to-be and the life she is accustomed to. However, as everyone knows, tragedy strikes just days into the Titanic's voyage, and Josephine- among other passengers- discovers something positively haunting about the doomed ocean liner and the seas below her.
