As he laid on his deathbed. His youngest child, Shade hands him a letter.
"What's this?"
He smiled at the letter. It was a letter he wrote years ago addressed to his dearest brother. Shade and his sister Coriane never got to meet him. If only they did. He was sure they would've loved him just as much he and Mare did.
"It's a letter I wrote for your uncle Maven." He smiled softly.
It had been so long since he had said his brothers name. He opened the letter and began reading it. Before he went to see his brother. He wanted to know what he wrote to him so he could tell his brother himself in the afterlife.
