This story is about Cassie, the girl next door, waiting to be whisked away and told she's Special too. And it's about Dylan, Christopher's younger brother, waiting for somebody to finally choose him over the Special Harris boy.
Not everybody gets to be the Chosen One, and not everybody gets to be saved.
But maybe sometimes we can help one another. And sometimes, maybe even the Chosen One needs a little saving.

I never thought my life would be like this; trapped in a dark room and scared for my life. A blindfold was wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, making me completely blind and on high alert.
