I'd dreamed of weddings before, in my youth; and in every scenario, I had always thought it to be the happiest day in my life: surrounded by my closest friends and family and laughing in my gorgeous white dress with flowers in my hair. Not like this: nauseous from cancer-fighting chemicals and wearing a cheap thrifted dress that I'd worn to an orientation week party, my hair thinning and unkempt.
