While there is no more cure because of Joel and him, he finally feels free for the first time. Jackson is home to the trio that once made their way cross-country in search of a cure. After Y/N and Joel found that the cure would kill Ellie, they took matters into their own hand. The two of them may have doomed the world, but that's not something that bothers them.
