Up high in a castle sits a girl, Princess Nya, heir to the throne of her kingdom. Her brother, already engaged and set to marry the future Queen of the Amber Island tries to help prepare his younger sister for the role she will one day take on. But then her parents tell her that he must agree to marry a suitor by the age of 16-and her birthday is in two weeks. None of the suitors seem right to Princess Nya, until one boy catches her eye. But unfortunately he's not even a knight, and she knows she cannot have the boy she fell in love with after only a few days. All hope seems lost, an Nya is afraid she will have to agree to the arranged marriage between her and her childhood best friend, Cole. 
But then she takes a trip with Prince Cole and his father to the Evergreen Kingdom,  and suddenly Nya thinks that perhaps she may have a chance to love the boy her heart longs for...
