In order to leave their grueling job of sorting souls, two Hellhounds must journey through the Underworld to find the long-lost crown of Hades.
____
Doggy and Lich are Hellhounds with the power to sniff out good and evil, herding souls into their proper districts of the Underworld. It's a grueling, unrewarding job, but someone has to do it.

When the unlikely duo stumbles upon a scavenger hunt leading to the long-lost crown of Hades, they see an opportunity to put their old lives behind them. Problem is, between fending off crazy Angels and bargaining with the dead, it's going to be harder than they thought.

*to be edited: please excuse any continuity errors and / or mistakes in regards the writing quality of Hades* Ellie is just like every other normal eighteen year old girl in the world, except for one big reason. She's the daughter of Hades. And an immortal goddess in charge of managing suicide in the world. And she's been locked in the darkness of the Underworld for her entire life. So basically, her life couldn't get any more abnormal if she tried. Ellie longs to experience life like everybody else her age, but for as long as she can remember her parents haven't let her travel up to the surface, and she's been forced to imagine the upper world through the stories her mother told and the books she read. Until, one day, her parents finally give in and let her go up to the surface to see the world through her own eyes, and her world explodes with colour. Then, just when she thinks her life couldn't get more exciting, she stumbles across a very particular green-eyed god; one who throws her perfectly organised world into complete chaos and shows her what it means to live in the light. But what Ellie doesn't know, is that the Fates have a prophecy for her. A prophecy that she couldn't escape if she tried. A prophecy that has tangled it's gnarled fingers into the threads of her life, and may just throw the world into the darkness Ellie has spent her whole life trying to escape. "He's the son of Aphrodite, she's the daughter of Hades. He's light, she's the oncoming darkness. He advocates for love, she's the embodiment of death. What could possibly go wrong?" The gods are dying and and only Hades knows why. There is nothing quite as frustrating as being the last person to know what's going on. Most days it seems like the whole world knows something Autumn doesn't-the whole Underworld, anyway. For 18 year-old Autumn, the biggest obstacles in her foreseeable future are paying for college and staying out of trouble. She doesn't need gods of half-forgotten myths swooping in to alter her course-but Hector, the second incarnation of the Lord of the Underworld, has never been one to sit back and watch the world burn. Enter Autumn, unknowing, untrained, unwilling Fury: the perfect secret weapon in a secret war of the gods. Hector and Autumn strike a bargain but the more Autumn gets to know the inhabitants of the Underworld, the further she gets from her all-too-human problems. Who can think about homework or consequences when all of the gods are dying? With the help-or the hindrance-of the Fates, Autumn must train with Harpies, Furies, and other creatures formerly of myth to win an impending war for Hector, restore the ambrosia to Olympus, and be home in time for graduation. All in a Tuesday's work.
