Monster Log:

The following is a detailed description of the monsters I've encountered in this horrid laberyinth of rooms. If you're reading this you may very well be doomed too. Yes, this may help you cling to more seconds of misery. Who knows, maybe you'll escape. Unlikely, but still possible.

Catfishes: These grotesque amalgations lurk as the main arm of the one who rules. They more commonly resemble the Welsh Blue Mermen found near the UK, but their strength and appearance have been altered by the sheer magic of this place. Of course, they are as fallible to kill by the jolt of a pike or a magical blast as the next man.

Manahound: These are the archmages favourite pets, lurking about to maintain the sanctity of the tower. Stand still if you should meet them, and whatever you do, DO NOT USE MAGIC AROUND THEM. They are relatively blind and the mere presence of mana sends them into a frenzy. Don't try to kill them, if the severed arms on the walls where they often are found can attest to anything.
