In the fictional universe of Black Plasma Studios' Songs of War, it has been almost three months since the Kingdom of Felden was officially destroyed after the sudden arrival of the Nether. Kiyoshi, former Captain of the Guard, was rescued from near death by a Chronicler from Northwind named Nitsuke. The two of them fell in love after fleeing off the radar for multiple weeks, but they were discovered by the Netherans, only to be rescued by none other than the remaining Necromancers, Felden's former enemy. Two months later, Kiyoshi has, upon her request, trained Nitsuke how to fight, as she wishes to help retaliate against the Nether. Meanwhile, King Nyoko has assumed direct control of the remnants of the kingdom and its army, forming it into "The King's Brigade" - Felden's last line of defense.
