Nicole is in the foster system. Her parents died several years earlyer. None of her reletives want her, as far as she knows. Shes on her own. After a few months of living with Mr and Mrs. Lewis, Mr. Lewis looses his job, and is forced to send Nicole away. Nicole takes her few belongings, including her throwing knives which her father gave her when she started learning how to throw. When she arives at her new foster home, she is surprised to see who her new foster parent is. He is the last person she would have expected to want to take her in. The first day shes there she meets a person she NEVER thought she would have to see again. she has never liked him. and age still wants nothing to do with him, but it seems that he wants to make up with her, and be friends. at the same time aall of this us going on, she finds out that there is a family mystery, mostly involving her parents, and age is determined to figure out what it is; no matter how many times her foster parents tells her NOT to go into the tornado shelter. what us the family secret?

Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years.
