Long ago, there were two Diamonds. One of DARKNESS, the other of LIGHT. Both were equals in strength and power yet their heart, their morals and their love for Gems as a whole divided them which grew into a war.

Now, Gems of Darkness or simply we called ourselves Dark Gems are scattered. My mother or Black Diamond as she is called, yes I'm the son of Diamond. The one known as the Diamond of DARKNESS, most Gems outside of Darkness or Grey since well there's a few in between LIGHT and Darkness would know of me but not me in general, to them I'm the HEIR. The Diamond that has to shred it's Quartz shards and reunite the DARKNESS and LIGHT to create the era of the GREY.

The Gems that raised are gone or missing more like it, I think they're still alive but I was separated from them and now I'm living with a group who called themselves the Crystal Gems. Currently they think I'm a Pearl with an arm that doesn't work, that wears goggles and apparently sleeps a lot.

The Diamond in The Rough by Skywardsword25

Perfection, mistakes, darkness, and light. Two forces that need each other and yet can never co-exist without causing some type of chaos. Not everything is as simple as black is from white and if this turns into eons worth of pain and heartbreak. The only question is this, which diamond will give out first? Which diamond will give in to the pain and hatred that was caused by each other first? With the long-forgotten court rising and their leader making a return. Only the shadows of darkness and heavy memories are to follow with every step that is taken by the Black Court's leader. All Steven can do is make a journey through the darkness in order to find the hidden light within the Black court. Before war falls upon them, Homeworld, and Earth once more and enter into another gem war.

The truth is out. Rose Quartz, the leader of the Crystal Gem rebellion, was Pink Diamond all along. It shocked all of the Gems, but Steven was the most affected. His anger now only grows, seeing that his mother, who he once looked up too, was nothing more than a coward, a murderer, and a liar. What pushes him over the edge is when Pearl and the other Crystal Gems still want him to be like her. Even though it had hurt you that she abandoned you, you had still thought things would be fine.. Until one day, people realized you were broken. They found out that you didn't understand fusing or emotions and said "well, as a entertainer you need to understand the acts you're performing! And a entertainer should be happy! It's part of their job! It's all a Tanzanite is!" And were going to shatter you.. Or so they thought. When Steven is separated from Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl during the attempt to retrieve his father from the zoo, he is found, and quickly identified as a rose quartz gem... and not just any, but the rebellion leader's own son. Blue and Yellow Diamond create a master plan to finally eliminate the Crystal Gems, and Steven is the key to doing so. All they have to do is play a game of emotions, and things will soon fall into their hands, due to a very unlikely snitch. Will Steven be able to resist the Diamonds and escape, or will Steven's Universe crumple because of himself? (Rated T, to be on the completely safe side, but I seriously doubt there will be anything too bad in my fanfiction, as I am trying to make it as close to the style of the show as possible!
