History is written by bastards. Upon his deathbed, King Aegon IV Targaryen committed an act which changed the history of Westeros - and indeed, the world - forever, legitimising all of his children and placing them, if in name only, in the line of succession of the royal House Targaryen. This story follows the lives of Daemon Blackfyre, Aegor Rivers, Mya Rivers, Gwenys Rivers, Brynden Rivers, and Shiera Seastar as they navigate a world of love and lives, of treachery and truth, of ice and fire.

From my blood comes the prince who was promised he would be a song of ice and fire, and yet the dead could not hear the songs, the words of brave men, weeping mothers, and dying children. When you play the Game of Thrones, you win, or you die. However, the Night King had never played fair, and in the end, neither won. As Jon Snow lay dying after his victory, of which all life was the cost to obtain it, whether by magics or by gods, Jon Snow is given a second chance at life to change the fate of mankind. Reborn as Aemon Targaryen, son of Prince Daemon Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, and cursed to live through the Dance of Dragons. Jon Snow, now Aemon Targaryen, must prepare for the Long Night once more and pray to the gods that this time, his earlier interference may give the living a better chance at life. He must succeed where his ancestors have failed and ensure the dragons live past the dance so that when the Long Night comes, they may be enough to give the living the chance they were robbed of in his last life. Through it all, Jon Snow will show the world once more that Winter is coming, and with it comes Fire and Blood. When Winter comes once more, you'll hear no dragons roar. When the winter courses freeze and go foul, you'll hear no wolves howl. But once the Long Night comes once more to the lands, the breath of the northern dragon will burn them only like the icy cold can. "The dream...it was clearer than a memory. And I heard the sound of thundering hooves, splintering shields and ringing swords. And I placed my heir upon the Iron Throne, and all the dragons roared as one." ~ King Viserys Targaryen "If I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all. But when I say 'I love you', it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Alicent. ~ Geralt Targaryen "Brother, if you're named heir and I your Princess Consort, your claim would not be so easily challenged. The Velaryons are of the sea. But you and I are made of fire We have always been meant to burn together." ~ Rheanyra Targaryen "Where is duty? Where is sacrifice? It's trampled under your pretty foot again." ~ Alicent Hightower "Think for yourself. It'll save you a lifetime of heartbreak." ~ Yennefer Martell "Dreams didn't make us kings. Dragons did." ~Daemon Targaryen The Dragon's Heart Is Mine tells the tale of two best friends torn apart by men in their lives. It also includes their political alliances and especially the civil war between the Greens and Blacks. The war between two siblings, torn between marriage and love, however, their history forms the core of House of The Dragon. Viserys' choice for Geralt to marry Alicent Hightower and Daemon's attraction to Rhaenyra instigated most of the events that shaped their lives forever. Every character's ideas of marital unions and love are vastly different from each other, giving rise to insightful and memorable impact, thereby causing a division of civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. House Targaryen, the blood of Old Valyria, the House of the Dragon and the royal family of Westeros. Targaryens have controlled the crown for decades, and will continue to do so, for they rule through fire and blood. King Viserys, still without an obvious heir, has two daughters in his line, Rhaenyra and Vaemyra. Vaemyra admires her elder sister in every way, and though her child like innocence may be strong... the blood of the dragon is much stronger. ʟᴀᴇɴᴀ ᴠᴇʟᴀʀʏᴏɴ/ ᴀᴇᴍᴏɴᴅ ᴛᴀʀɢᴀʀʏᴇɴ/ ᴍᴜʟᴛɪᴘʟᴇ ᴏᴄꜱ x ꜰᴇᴍ! ᴏᴄ
