Cauldon is a Rogue and has been one ever since he left his family many years prior. Usually many have asked him to do jobs like this because many fear him and he is never caught so this guy ends up making him an offer he can't turn down. 

Embers has recently turned eighteen and according to the new law she has no choice but to go to the farm because she has not found a mate yet. Her family has never loved her nor wanted her in the first place. Things start to look up after her rescue but once she realizes who exactly rescued her and knows his reputation of being both ruthless and heartless, even with women, she starts to question if she was safer at the farm or with this rogue.
