In an era of kings and queens, of magics and spells, of folklore and legend, well it was not too long ago since it's already modern-ish, in a way, anyway, back to the story, in the village of Zavros, in the kingdom of the Arkmarov, a merchant named, Merillius found a healthy 5-year-old girl during the near of the end of the Great War. One look at the child and he was enthralled. Little did he know that that little baby girl had the biggest secret waiting to be revealed.
Aurora did not know who her parents were but she was thankful that she ended up in the hands of a well-known merchant, Merilius. After losing his wife in the tragic war he was left with nothing, until, along came Aurora. Growing up she was loved and cared for by his adoptive parent but everything changes when he remarried.
Adross Arkmarov was the soon to be King of his kingdom. His parents expected him to do 'things' traditionally, meaning, he is expected to choose a wife from the candidates picked by the elders. But traditions are meant to be broken especially if Aurora comes along.
"Are you nervous son? " my father patted me on my back as he adjusted his sitting on his throne. I looked at him and was about to respond when Mr. Fidge tapped his staff thrice on the marble floor, indicating that the final 20 have been picked by our 20 elders, who would train them. Train them to be a queen. My queen.
