Gisa, a youth in Trist City leads a peaceful, well not necessary leading it, but letting life take the wheel, and being in the backseat. Trist, a city on the Eastern border of The north American continent is normal by all means, except for a particular thing. The city has walls, though not too high, still bring the city some attention, like how the mayor refuses to take them down, or how they're partially made of glass. Gisa makes no effort to think of anything that troubles him too much, that is until he spots a girl on the glass walls, looking back at him.

Towards the future, Gisa finds a power in him that can raise the flags of revolution in this town, illuminated by the blazing sun behind him.

BOOK 1 OF THE MARKED DUOLOGY Syerin Cayde has spent her life in the shadows, a deadly assassin who knows how to survive in a world that shows no mercy. But everything changes when a cursed mark - the Bloodmark - burns itself into her skin during a mission gone wrong. It's a symbol of power, of destiny, and of death - a mark that hasn't been seen in centuries. A curse that if found by anyone would end with her death. There have been legends, rumours, that the Bloodmark was the mark of the Goddess of Blood and if one bear the mark, they would have one of the god's power. However, it is also said that the power is enough to make one explode, die. Now hunted by forces she doesn't understand, Syerin is dragged to Ironspire, a fortress where the Ascension Trials unfolds. The prize? The crown of Velthar - and unimaginable power. The cost? Everything. Forced into a deadly competition alongside warriors, heirs, and monsters, Syerin must fight to keep her secret hidden. But as the mark begins to awaken, whispering of the ancient gods imprisoned beneath Ironspire, Syerin realises the tournament is a game far more dangerous than anyone knows. And then there's the matter of the Knox Brothers. Three brothers. The royals. The heirs to the throne. Drawn to them in a way, Syerin can't understand, will the trials end her? Or will love? Allies become enemies, love and betrayal blur into one, and the mark's power begins to consume her. To survive, Syerin must decide: Will she embrace the curse that could save Velthar or destroy it?

23 parts Complete

Evil spirits. A cursed prince. Death itself in disarray. Iris just wants to go home, but fate has other plans for this young priestess and her odd companions. /// The land of Erinlin is dying, its ancient traditions choked out by the Kaerent church and its true priestesses, the Candlemaidens, increasingly regarded with fear and suspicion. All Iris wants is to tend her candles, win her shade battles, and chat with the spirits of her realm. But when she is torn away from her home by the Kaerent king, she learns that her country needs her to be far more than a typical Candlemaiden-- she must be as the legendary priestesses of old and walk through Death itself. *** Cover help from the awesome @ArdenBrooks.
