A thousand moment I had taken for granted-
Mostly because I had assumed there would be 
a thousand more.

Joanna Meghan Romaine otherwise known as Jo is a regular teenager living a normal life under the same sky as everyone and everything else in the world. But then a simple thing, a birthday card from her uncle would change it all. Her uncle Bill lives in Los Angeles, California and on her 16th birthday she gets a card in the mail with a letter attached for her mother from this uncle she fairly remembers. She soon finds out that he has offered to pay for her high school schooling and everything she needs if her mother will send her to live with him in his house. Something makes her wonder why he just decided to show up in her life. Jo had no father he was just a tall dark and mysterious man twisted into the shadows of her memory. 
	But when she arrives it is nothing like her mother was promised, a hidden agenda is what you could call it. The plans her uncle had in sight for her were dark and nothing like her mother was promised. Will she even see the women who raised her again? Will she find her way out of the hidden life her uncle lives.

If you have started along this White Lies journey beginning in December and all throughout January, you might have read a half-edited and half-original version of the story.
