He smirked wickedly at me and leaned forward, his lips tantalizingly close to mine, as if he knew what he was doing to me. I could feel how solid he was, keeping me firmly flushed against him. There was no escaping him now. Then, with a soft chuckle, he shifted to whisper directly in my ear, "For an Angel's girl, you sure roll like the devil."

God created the five Archangels to balance the good and evil of mankind. They were meant to guide the first humans in life and death. It was the eldest brother, God's first made Angel, who desired more power for himself, you know him by many names. His four younger brothers would not stand by and let their brother destroy himself. Betraying him, they reported to their Creator of their brother's crimes, resulting in him being stripped of his halo and being cast out.
As time passed, the humans began to prosper in life. There was no need for the Archangels anymore. The Creator could not bare to watch his beloved Angels feel so lost, so he created the four Archesses, meant to be soulmates to four of the five Archangels.
In the modern world now, three Archesses were found and paired with the brothers.
