Equal and Opposite(Concept Idea)

For every power, there is an equal and opposite gift. The scales of balance never tipped. No two powers are the same. When their existence is threatened, the Kahlob seeks to find the equal and opposite powerholder of their foe. Will this gift bearer be found? Or will all of Kahlobia reap the consequences of a stray souls' actions?

(I do plan to turn this into a story at some point, I've just got to bring my thoughts together about it. In the meantime, here is the prologue that kind of gives the base for the story)
