I thought I'd have a go at writing this up, even though I have ZERO writing talent. But here goes...
This au takes place in a hardcore setting (once someone dies, they can't respawn). It is set during the mayoral race, when Mumbo and Grian's campaign isn't doing too well. They both decide to confront Grumbot for one last-minute idea before voting day. What Grian didn't expect was that Grumbot had a much sinister way of dealing with things than they originally thought...

So, when the opportunity for a life-changing competition arises-a chance to win full tuition from an organization called the "Watchers"-he volunteers to chaperone. No one questioned it when the bus drove off into the Pacific Northwest. No one thought to check if the GPS was working. Now, they're stranded in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no way out.
