"Dearie if you had seen clearly, you should have known we needed dancers not some fat burly lady looking for ways to shed weight" the model stature girl said.
What the heck! I said astonished as I stood up. Please Nene, don't go. Christians don't get into fights. Zozy said holding me.
Chill girl am not about to get into a fight just going to put someone in her place, I replied as I shoved her hand gently.
Hey there, I said with an innocent smile as I approached their table. The model girl turned but so did the fat girl who was about leaving clearly embarrassed. I turned to the model girl who was trying to intimidate me with her height and I said "miss perfect stature it's obvious that everything you lacked in your brain you made up for with your height! But that doesn't give you the right to body shame anybody! I said glaring at her.

Ohunene being the last girl with four gorgeous elder sisters, had always felt ugly for her short chubby stature. Her parents worsened it by always telling her they had wanted a boy as their fifth child not her. She used to think she was a mistake but not anymore.Nothing she detests more like body shaming. With a Christ like self esteem she sets off to school with only one passion.Find out what it is??

"Nevaeh you need to understand that life ain't a bed of roses. It has it's ups and downs but that doesn't mean you should blame God for that! Once in a while you lose people you love. It's not because God hates you or because he doesn't exists. It's because that's what is meant to happen." He said dropping his fanta. "God exists. And that's why you and I are still living" he finished. I frowned at him not wanting to press the issue further. He held my gaze, his eyes not leaving mine. I looked down at my plate trying to avoid his bold stare. "This sucks" I muttered. Daniel and Yimika are practically the same in this God thingy. How the heck did I get myself tangled with them?! ############## Have you ever come across someone with so much drama in their life? If you haven't... Meet Yemisi Nevaeh Simon, A fifteen years old Nigerian who has spent fourteen years of her life living in America but comes down to Nigeria with her family. Daughter of a well respected Godly Billioniare. Loves to express herself, cold hearted, mean, self centered, selfish and lots more. Used to be a Christian but things changed when her twin died in a 'gun shot' right behind her. She doesn't give up yet in searching for her twin because of the mysteries that keep unfolding. She meets Yimika Owolabi, the complete opposite of her, but like the saying, opposite attracts, they became best friends. She also meets Daniel, but after a loong time...they finally get along. What then happens when Tony comes? Because in my point of view, they are like birds of the same feathers so why didn't they want to flock together at the beginning? Fights for justice, Fights for love, Fights for right. There is a little plot twist though. Maybe or maybe not........... NO CUSSING, SWEARING OR MATURE CONTENTS. My sister has always attracted the wrong crowd who didn't hesitate to take advantage of her meek heart. Right from small, Zikora's naïvety always made me fight with every single one of her 'friends'. I have never been comfortable with any of her so-called friendships. Not even the one she was in at the moment with her new roommate. Funny enough was that I actually liked their relationship. It was pure, true, and more of a sisterhood. For the first time in history, Zikora made a true friend. I inwardly approved of the friendship, when the girl in question, didn't think twice in lunging a frying pan at my little sister's ex-boyfriend. And I know as you're reading this, you may ask yourself, what was my issue then? My issue wasn't with the friendship, but the babe herself. Her appearance reminded me of that Disney princess that had the complexion of a vampire. Snow White, very innocent looking creature. But that girl was the definition of a werey in disguise. Chineke ekwela! And I know you've already started judging me as the problematic character already. I am not problematic, she is. You may begin to think that okay I'm probably overreacting. Oga, Aunty, I am not overreacting. On the first day of meeting her, this babe carried her old fashioned okrika shoe that looked like it suffered for nineteen years, and threw it at the glass of my car while I was driving. She should just carry her small bum bum and stay on her own, because she's really getting on my nerves. I don't blame her, because she knows she's fine. That's why she's doing all this bullshit. "What?" Ethan says in his all too familiar deep, rude voice. Ethan has pitch-black hair, is 6 feet tall, with a solid build. His deep grey eyes are glaring at me right now. His jawline is so sharp I'm sure it can cut through anything. "You hit me, spilling my coffee all over me," I say, pointing out the obvious. "So, what do you want me to do about it?" he asks, like he's done nothing wrong. "You're supposed to say sorry," I say in a duh tone. "And why should I?" "Because that's what people with manners do." "I know that, but you don't deserve a sorry from me." "Wow. And why is that?" "Because black bitches like you don't deserve it," he says with a sneer. "I have told you times without number to stop calling me that," I say, angry at his insults. "Make me," Ethan says, taking a dangerous step closer. I don't say anything but hiss and walk past him. I don't know why I expected him to apologize. It's Ethan, after all. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ethan is a young male about to get his first degree, he might look normal to the world, but don't we all have our demons inside. Ethan has a problem that he feels hatred is the best way to cure it, but one lady proves him wrong. Adina is a beautiful young girl who is also about to get her first degree at the same university as Ethan. Adina is full of life and dislikes anyone who thinks they can bully her. Ethan is hell-bent on bringing hell down on Adina, and she is determined to shove it up all the way into his ass. They are both opposites, but they say opposites attract one other. What happens when a significant incident changes all that. How do these two different people deal with a feeling that is supposed to be forbidden to feel for each other?

The teenage period is usually not always easy. You make mistakes, you learn from them. It's like a moulding phase towards adulthood, which tends to be harder than adults make it sound. Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. Growing in an African home is hard but what's harder is being a Nigerian. O le gán. "It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you're not." -André Gide
